Os gaúchos da banda Finita chegam ao seu segundo full length e esse lançamento ficou a cargo do selo mineiro, Eclipsys Lunarys, que já vinha trabalhando com a banda desde o EP “Above Chaos” . (2022)
Os trabalhos iniciam com uma intro chamada: “Womb of Night”, que transmite um clima tétrico é como uma trilha sonora de um filme vampiresco. E segue com as faixas: “Goddess of Disharmony”, “War Curse” e “Witch’s Laugh”. A banda executa um sinfônico gothic metal e cria ambientes carregados de peso, melodia e uma vibe teatral. Um trabalho maravilhoso do guitarrista Bruno Portela. Por exemplo em “War Curse”, tem bases pesadas, trabalhadas e um solo cheio de sentimentos e melodias é perfeito!
As próximas faixas: “Quicksand”, inicia com um trabalho de bateria mais cadenciado e bases de guitarras pesadas e os vocais de Luana Palma, mais limpo e declamado, com influências de música árabe/mediterrâneo, no instrumental e essa música é muito profunda e de uma beleza ímpar. Com certeza, Luana mostra toda sua técnica e seus vocais limpos são os grandes destaques. “Dead Seeds”, outra música carregada de sentimentos e bom gosto!
Eles mostram que sabem escrever música em português e o metal extremo combina perfeitamente com o idioma de Fernando Pessoa e “Fortuna”, é uma música mais pesada, agressiva e direta! Caminhamos para o final da audição e segue com “Sketch Art”, “Prophecy” e “Gates Of Oblivion”. Para quem aprecia gothic metal ou metal extremo mais trabalhado, virtuoso e com passagens sinfônicas, vocais guturais, rasgados e limpos, terá em “Children Of The Abyss” um trabalho perfeito.
Vejo influências de outras bandas gaúchas do mesmo estilo praticado pela Finita, como M26, A Sorrowful Dream e também da milonga gaúcha música tradicional do Rio Grande Do Sul em algumas partes das guitarras, e nos vocais mais limpos de Luana Palma.
De bônus a música que fecha esse trabalho, “Mermaid Melody”.
Mas é óbvio que os músicos da banda possuem uma capacidade incrível de criar músicas trabalhadas com bom gosto e com uma identidade própria. A música feita por eles é bela, sinistra e demoníaca. Além dos já citados guitarrista e vocalista, os outros músicos Fernando Back no baixo, Pablo Castro na bateria e Guilherme Pereira no teclado, fizeram um ótimo trabalho.
O disco foi produzido por Thiago Bianchi (Noturnall, ex-Shaman) e a gravação foi realizada no Estúdio Fusão. O layout é muito bem feito com letras e fotos, todas as informações básicas necessárias para quem cultua e gosta de ter o trabalho físico em mãos e na sua coleção.
O Finita, entregou um álbum muito bem produzido e músicas virtuosas, sem ser demasiado chato e bom gosto nos arranjos, músicos de alto nível técnico e o grande destaque é de Luana e seus vocais e interpretação, mas com certeza o guitarrista Portela com suas bases e solos de guitarras são o grande destaque! Seus solos carregados de sentimentos, técnica e melodias maravilhosas!

The gaúcho band Finita arrives at its second full-length album, released by the Minas Gerais label Eclipsys Lunarys, which had already been working with the band since the EP Above Chaos (2022).
The album opens with an intro titled “Womb of Night”, which sets a grim, eerie atmosphere — almost like the soundtrack to a vampire film. It then moves into the tracks “Goddess of Disharmony,” “War Curse,” and “Witch’s Laugh.” The band performs a symphonic gothic metal style, creating soundscapes filled with heaviness, melody, and a theatrical vibe. Guitarist Bruno Portela delivers a wonderful performance. For example, “War Curse” features heavy, intricate riffs and a solo full of feeling and melody — it’s perfect!
The next track, “Quicksand,” begins with more cadenced drumming, heavy guitar foundations, and Luana Palma’s cleaner, more declamatory vocals, infused with Middle Eastern/Arab influences in the instrumental. This song is very profound and uniquely beautiful. Luana definitely showcases her full technique here, and her clean vocals are one of the album’s major highlights. “Dead Seeds” is another song loaded with emotion and great taste.
They show they can write in Portuguese as well, and extreme metal fits perfectly with the language of Fernando Pessoa. “Fortuna” is a heavier, more aggressive, and straightforward track! As we approach the end of the album, we move through “Sketch Art,” “Prophecy,” and “Gates of Oblivion.” For those who appreciate gothic metal or more elaborate, virtuosic extreme metal with symphonic passages and guttural, harsh, and clean vocals, “Children of the Abyss” is a perfect work.
I notice influences from other gaúcho bands that share a similar style to Finita, such as M26 and A Sorrowful Dream, as well as elements of milonga gaúcha, the traditional music of Rio Grande do Sul, in certain guitar passages and in Luana Palma’s clean vocal lines.
As a bonus, the album closes with “Mermaid Melody.”
It’s clear that the band’s musicians have an incredible ability to compose refined music with great taste and their own identity. What they create is beautiful, sinister, and demonic. In addition to the already mentioned guitarist and vocalist, Fernando Back on bass, Pablo Castro on drums, and Guilherme Pereira on keyboards also deliver excellent performances.
The album was produced by Thiago Bianchi (Noturnall, ex-Shaman) and recorded at Estúdio Fusão. The layout is very well crafted, with lyrics, photos, and all the basic information needed for those who enjoy collecting and holding a physical release in their hands.
Finita delivered a highly polished album with virtuosic songs that never become tedious, tasteful arrangements, and musicians of excellent technical level. The biggest highlight is Luana and her vocals and interpretation, but guitarist Portela — with his rhythms and solos — absolutely stands out as well. His solos are filled with emotion, technique, and wonderful melodies.
