VENEFIXION – Anointed in Nazarean Blood (EP 2025)

Pequenos frascos trazem surpresas muitas vezes deveras agradáveis e o VENEFIXION é um desses perfumes que te surpreendem. Com apenas três músicas, o EP “Anointed in Nazarean Blood” tem tudo o que a música maldita deve possuir em sua alma impura. Riffs cortantes, bateria direta e vocais que rasgam sem pudor.

“Oath of Har-Meggido” é aquela Intro que você ouve meio impaciente pois quer entrar no recinto da perdição e conferir o que o grupo tem a oferecer. Quando “Nocturnal Deceit” se inicia a vibração que é passada me fez recordar algo do metal extremo australiano. A mudança de tempo e posterior apocalipse que é liberado são realmente incríveis. Há influências claras aqui de Destroyer 666, principalmente em alguns arranjos de guitarra, mas a batalha tem personalidade também ao inserir detalhes mais intrincados. É uma música com várias camadas e soa agressiva como deve ser.

Na sequência e fechando esse curto lançamento vem “Adversarial Triumph”, que em seu início cria uma atmosfera mais etérea que se mantém apenas enquanto o caos é preparado e liberado em seguida. Aqui temos uma ótima seleção de riffs certeiros que acompanham linhas de bateria brutais. Sinceramente esse é um lançamento que eu gostei demais pela energia que emana das duas composições aqui contidas.

Espero que a banda lance o mais breve possível um novo álbum completo, já que o debut álbum da banda “A Sigh from Below” foi lançado em 2021, ou seja, há quatro anos atrás. Se depender do que eu ouvi nesse EP, um novo trabalho deve vir destruindo tudo pela frente. Matador !!!!

Small bottles often bring very pleasant surprises and VENEFIXION is one of those perfumes that takes you by surprise. With only three songs, the EP “Anointed in Nazarean Blood” has everything that cursed music should possess in its impure soul. Cutting riffs, direct drums and vocals that rip without shame.

“Oath of Har-Meggido” is that intro that you listen to a bit impatiently because you want to get into the doom chamber and see what the band has to offer. When “Nocturnal Deceit” begins, the vibe it gives off reminds me of Australian extreme metal. The time change and subsequent apocalypse that is unleashed are truly incredible. There are clear influences here from Destroyer 666, especially in some of the guitar arrangements, but the battle also has personality by inserting more intricate details. It’s a multi-layered song and sounds aggressive as it should.

Following on and closing this short release is “Adversarial Triumph”, which at its start creates a more ethereal atmosphere that is only maintained while the chaos is prepared and then unleashed. Here we have a great selection of precise riffs followed by brutal drum lines. Honestly, this is a release that I really enjoyed because of the energy that emanates from the two compositions contained herein.

I hope the band releases a new full-length album as soon as possible, since their debut album “A Sigh from Below” was released in 2021, four years ago. If what I heard on this EP is anything to go by, a new album should come along and destroy everything in its path. Killer !!!!
