INSIDE HATRED – Cosmic Doom (EP 2023)

O INSIDE HATRED é uma banda formada na Bahia em 2004 e que após o lançamento de três demo tapes e dois splits, finalmente chegou ao seu debut álbum intitulado “Salvation´s Failure”, lançado em 2012. Agora em 2023, onze anos depois do lançamento desse trabalho, o grupo lança um novo trabalho de inéditas, “Cosmic Doom”.

São apenas seis faixas, sendo a primeira “The Dead Walt Dreaming”, uma introdução. O death metal executado pelo grupo tem uma pegada mais suja e intensa, algo como um Incantation mais sujo e cru, com características muito próprias ao metal extremo Sul Americano.

“Opening the Gateways to Empty Death” abre o álbum e é uma faixa realmente muito boa. É muito intensa, mas sabe trabalhar bem com climas mais pesados. Quando embarca em momentos mais lentos e épicos, a banda ganha similaridades até mesmo com os seus conterrâneos do Mystifier, criando com a ajuda dos teclados, uma atmosfera mais maléfica.

Riffs oriundos das profundezas obscuras do Hades se materializam quando a poderosa “Internal Demons of An Insane World” tem início. A bateria vai martelando sem muita piedade, soando mais marcial e primitiva. Na sequência vem a carregada instrumental “…Slowly Creeps” que aposta no clima mais carregado e prepara o ouvinte para melhor faixa desse lançamento, a poderosa “The Chaos Creeps”. Os riffs aqui são matadores, ajudando a criar a música mais brutal do EP.

Fechando esse curto lançamento, “Vortex of Peace” é uma Outro. Curta, simples e direta. O INSIDE HATRED surpreende com esse trabalho, já que demostra uma percepção aguçada que vai se expandir ainda mais em futuros lançamentos.

Mais uma vez a Bahia apresenta suas garras em forma de música extrema, honrando um cenário que sempre se destacou com grandes bandas.

INSIDE HATRED is a band formed in Bahia in 2004. After releasing three demo tapes and two splits, they finally released their debut album “Salvation’s Failure” in 2012. Now, in 2023, eleven years after the release of that work, the group is releasing a new album, “Cosmic Doom”.

There are only six tracks, the first of which, “The Dead Walt Dreaming”, is an introduction. The death metal played by the group has a dirtier, more intense feel, something like a dirtier, rawer Incantation, with characteristics very typical of South American extreme metal.

“Opening the Gateways to Empty Death” opens the album and it’s a really good track. It’s very intense, but knows how to work well with heavier climates. When they embark on slower, more epic moments, the band even resembles their fellow countrymen Mystifier, creating a more evil atmosphere with the help of the keyboards.

Riffs from the dark depths of Hades materialise when the powerful “Internal Demons of An Insane World” begins. The drums hammer away mercilessly, sounding more martial and primitive.

Then comes the heavy instrumental “…Slowly Creeps”, which has a heavier atmosphere and prepares the listener for the best track on this release, the powerful “The Chaos Creeps”. The riffs here are killer, helping to create the most brutal song on the EP.

Closing this short release, “Vortex of Peace” is an outro. Short, simple and to the point. INSIDE HATRED surprises with this work, as it shows a keen perception that will expand even further in future releases.

Once again Bahia shows its claws in the form of extreme music, honouring a scene that has always stood out with great bands.
