Este é o segundo lançamento desta banda relativamente nova, que executa um death metal mais voltado para a escola old school, embora algumas influências mais modernas possam ser identificadas na construção das músicas.
Os integrantes são oriundos de diferentes países — Brasil, Chile, Itália e Alemanha —, o que nos permite imaginar a diversidade de influências que compõem o background musical da banda.
Os caras fazem um death metal sustentado por guitarras extremamente graves e pesadas, vocais guturais cavernosos e bastante fechados. O andamento das músicas oscila entre um death metal mais cadenciado e passagens que flertam com o doom metal.
A faixa-título, “Longing Voracity”, resume muito bem o que define a sonoridade da banda neste trabalho. Em seguida, “Chaotic Bewilderment” chama atenção por apresentar riffs mais marcantes. Em alguns momentos, ela me lembrou Bolt Thrower, com aquele peso característico, cadenciado e absurdamente esmagador. Para mim, é a melhor música do disco.
“Ravaged and Absorbed” segue por um caminho semelhante, mantendo o andamento mais lento e entregando mais uma boa coleção de riffs pesadíssimos.
“Perpetual Anguish” mantém a mesma proposta, sustentada por excelentes riffs. Na verdade, trata-se de uma bela sequência de death metal extremamente grave e podrão, daquelas que não deixam um único pescoço parado.
“Circle of Perdition” se diferencia das demais ao começar com riffs mais agressivos, solos e uma velocidade ligeiramente superior. Mas não espere grandes acelerações: este continua sendo um álbum de death metal lento, pesado e cortante.
“Interim” é uma faixa instrumental muito bem executada. No entanto, achei sua inclusão um pouco deslocada no contexto do CD. Talvez faça mais sentido na versão em vinil, funcionando como uma pausa estratégica entre os lados do disco.
“Festering Realm” disputa com facilidade o posto de melhor música do álbum. Lenta, pesada e construída sobre riffs e bases que remetem novamente a Bolt Thrower, é difícil não gostar de uma faixa com esse tipo de influência tão bem assimilada.
“Spewing Atrocities” e “Stertorous Whisper” encerram o disco mantendo o mesmo nível de qualidade apresentado desde o início. A banda demonstra uma consistência e uma coesão notáveis, deixando claro que está construindo — ou buscando construir — sua própria identidade dentro da imensidão de lançamentos que surgem constantemente no underground.
Existem algumas passagens, determinadas batidas e certas bases que acabam me perdendo um pouco no meio de músicas tão boas, mas nada que comprometa a qualidade geral do trabalho.
Trata-se, sem dúvida, de um lançamento superior ao debut. A estreia já era um bom disco, mas “Longing Voracity” dá passos adiante em termos de personalidade e criatividade, entregando um death metal extremamente bem executado, pesado, grave e obscuro, exatamente como deve ser.
Espero sinceramente que a banda continue lançando trabalhos desse nível no futuro.

This is the second release from this relatively new band, which performs a more old-school-oriented form of death metal, although some more modern influences can still be identified in the songwriting.
The members come from different countries—Brazil, Chile, Italy, and Germany—which suggests a wide range of influences shaping the band’s musical background.
The band delivers death metal built on extremely heavy, down-tuned guitars and deep, cavernous guttural vocals. The songwriting alternates between more mid-paced death metal and passages that lean toward doom metal.
The title track, “Longing Voracity”, perfectly summarizes the band’s sound on this release. Next, “Chaotic Bewilderment” stands out with more memorable riffs. At times, it reminded me of Bolt Thrower, with that signature crushing, mid-paced heaviness. For me, it is the best track on the album.
“Ravaged and Absorbed” follows a similar path, maintaining the slower pace and delivering another set of excellent, heavy riffs.
“Perpetual Anguish” keeps the same approach, supported by outstanding riff work. In fact, it forms a solid sequence of extremely heavy, filthy death metal that refuses to let your neck stay still.
“Circle of Perdition” distinguishes itself by opening with more aggressive riffs, solos, and a slightly faster tempo. But make no mistake—this remains a slow, cutting, and oppressive death metal record.
“Interim” is a very well-executed instrumental track. However, I found its placement somewhat out of context within the album flow. It might make more sense on the vinyl version, serving as a side break.
“Festering Realm” easily competes for the best track on the album. Slow, heavy, and built on riffs and foundations reminiscent once again of Bolt Thrower, it is hard not to enjoy a track with such well-assimilated influences.
“Spewing Atrocities” and “Stertorous Whisper” close the album while maintaining the same level of quality established from the beginning. The band demonstrates remarkable consistency and cohesion, clearly working toward—or already forging—its own identity within the vast underground metal landscape.
There are certain passages, drum patterns, and transitions that occasionally lose me slightly, even within such strong material, but nothing that detracts from the overall quality of the record.
Without a doubt, this is a stronger release than the debut. While the first album was already solid, “Longing Voracity” takes a step forward in terms of personality and creativity, delivering extremely well-executed death metal that is heavy, low-end driven, and dark in exactly the right way.
I sincerely hope the band continues releasing material at this level in the future.
