Banda prolífica, o SIELUNVIHOLLINEN entrega em 2023 seu destruidor quinto álbum de estúdio, de nome “Helvetinkone”, algo que pode se traduzir livremente como “Máquina do Inferno”.
Atuando desde 2011, os finlandeses desenvolveram seu Black Metal cativante de forma gradativa, conquistando espaço entre as principais formações do gênero e criando sua marca registrada ao longo dos registros, quer sejam em estúdio ou ao vivo.
A sonoridade apresenta e aposta, principalmente, no extremismo, crueza e peso do Black Metal finlandês, mesclado com uma elevada dosagem melódica e envenenado por uma irresistível veia Crust / Punk, rendendo músicas velozes e totalmente empolgantes.
A qualidade dos músicos envolvidos é inegável. O trampo de guitarras evolui a cada lançamento, e no álbum atual ouvem-se ainda mais harmonias e dobras marcantes, além dos tradicionais riffs e leads carniceiros. Há momentos em que é impossível não imaginar uma versão satânica e sangrenta da dupla de seis cordas do Judas Priest.
Bateria e baixo dão aula, e estão perfeitamente posicionados e balanceados, a produção ficou impecável. Os vocais infernais sempre foram muito bons, e aqui seguem perfeitos para a proposta.
O trabalho flui com muita intensidade e resulta em uma experiência agradável e única. São quarenta minutos ultra agressivos (contrastando engenhosamente com toda a melodia) e maliciosamente divertidos.
Vale destacar a última faixa, intitulada “Läpi harmaan kiven”. Os caras criaram um verdadeiro hino do Black Metal moderno, acenando às raízes e tradições do estilo com extremo bom gosto.
Pouquíssimas entidades no mundo estão capacitadas a praticar Black Metal melódico com o nível de competência e brilho do SIELUNVIHOLLINEN. Seu quinto álbum coloca-se entre os melhores da discografia, e serve como um disco perfeito para um primeiro contato com a banda.
Recomendável aos fanáticos por metal extremo em geral, e particularmente aos adeptos do Black Metal não ortodoxo, tecnicamente imponente, vigoroso e que não se preocupa em ser unicamente sombrio. A capirotagem 100% raiz também abre espaço para a diversão! Um dos discos mais legais do ano até aqui.

The prolific gents behind SIELUNVIHOLLINEN deliver in September 2023 their destructive fifth full-length album, titled “Helvetinkone”, which can be roughly translated as “Hell Machine”.
Active since 2011, the Finns gradually developed their captivating Black Metal, evolving and gaining space among the genre’s main formations and creating their trademark traits in every record, be it a studio or live release.
SIELUNVIHOLLINEN offers a very unique brand of Extreme Metal, presenting the extremism, rawness and heaviness of Finnish Black Metal and mixing it with a high melodic charge, inevitably poisoned by a Crust / Punk vein, resulting in fast, poignant and totally exciting songs.
Quality of all musicians involved is undeniable. The guitar work matures with every release, and the current album displays even more striking harmonies, in addition to the traditional killer riffs and leads. Several moments lead us to picture a satanic, twisted version of Judas Priest’s six-string duo.
Drums and bass sound powerful and clear, both perfectly positioned and balanced, courtesy of impeccable production job. The infernal vocals have always sounded quite good, and here they resonate, yet again, perfect for the band’s proposal.
The record flows with great intensity, resulting in a pleasant and unique experience. In a nutshell, forty ultra-aggressive (ingeniously contrasting with how melodic it sounds) and mischievously fun minutes.
It is worth highlighting the last track, entitled “Läpi harmaan kiven”. They have spawned a true modern Black Metal anthem, nodding to the roots and traditions of the style with exquisite taste.
Very few entities around the world are able to offer melodic Black Metal with the brilliance and competency shown by SIELUNVIHOLLINEN. Their fifth album ranks among the best in their discography, and works as a perfect pick for a first contact with the band.
Highly recommendable for fans of extreme metal in general, and particularly for fans of unorthodox Black Metal, technically imposing, vigorous and not solely concerned with being dark. Legitimate, 666% demonic albums also open room for fun! One of the coolest albums of the year so far.
