Seraph Zine # 07 (Primavera/2023)
Eis aqui o grande pilar do Underground, que registra a história do submundo. É óbvio que sempre existiu as grandes revistas voltadas ao Rock/Metal, mas também todas voltadas ao comercialismo e ao mainstream, e os zines é a mídia que divulga o underground, dá apoio para aquelas bandas que caminham nas sombras e nos esgotos, que faz por amor ao metal, tanto os músicos/bandas e zines estão inseridos naquele espírito que sempre existiu no submundo: dedicação, apoio e trocas mútuas.
Entrevista com as bandas: Helllight, (SP) Acacia Crown, (SP) Malkulth, (PE) Beholder’s Cult, (DF) Ode Insone, (PA) Lugubre, (SP) Deep Memories,(SP) Mortem Crucial,(SP) Cemitério, (SP) Inside Hatred (BA) e o Sermon da Turkia. Eu não conhecia o som desses turcos e fui pesquisar no Spotify e para minha surpresa foi uma grata surpresa. Os caras fazem um poderoso Doom Metal influenciados pela cena inglesa, como o grande My Dying Bride, Anathema, Paradise Lost e Celestial Seasons. Da fase noventista dessas bandas quando elas misturavam o Doom Metal e o Death Metal.
Além das tradicionais resenhas de cds e fanzines. Outra coisa legal nesta edição são dois artigos escritos que é para o leitor refletir ou não, sob o assunto é bem interessante!
O primeiro deles chama – se “A militância é um cobertor curto”. Texto bem escrito por Slanderer Crowley (Deusdemoteme zine/ apresentador do Loudness Podcast)
O segundo texto é “Epitáfio: Entre flores e espinhos, caminhos inspiradores do Doom Metal”, escrito por Luciano Peneleu vocalista da banda Stoner Doom Metal, Erasy e autor também do livro: O Calvário. Ele fala como a música ou o Doom Metal salvou ele de uma depressão e arte ajudou a curar – se.
A capa desta edição é uma obra-prima com um jogo de cores belíssimas. Capa e contracapa por Márcio Blasphemator. Diagramação de Simone Rodrigues. Logo por Naberius. Outra coisa legal é que o zine é de fácil leitura. Ele é mais “clean” e talvez “na minha opinião, é claro”, as entrevistas poderiam ser mais longas e talvez um pouco mais profundas em alguns assuntos.
É aquela velha história no submundo ninguém faz nada sozinho e que bom que é assim, porque o Underground sempre teve essa união e parceria. O editor Luciano Freire está de parabéns, por mais essa edição! Que o Seraph Zine tenha uma longa vida! Hail a resistência das escritas subversivas!

Here is the great pillar of the Underground, which records the history of the underworld. It’s obvious that there have always been big magazines focused on Rock/Metal, but also all focused on commercialism and the mainstream, and zines are the media that promotes the underground, gives support to those bands that walk in the shadows and in the sewers, which does For the love of metal, both musicians/bands and zines are part of that spirit that has always existed in the underworld: dedication, support and mutual exchanges.
In addition to the traditional CD and fanzine reviews. Another cool thing in this edition are two written articles that are for the reader to reflect on or not, the subject is very interesting!
The first of them is called “Militance is a short blanket”. Well written text by Slanderer Crowley (Deusdemoteme zine/ host of the Loudness Podcast)
The second text is “Epitaph: Between flowers and thorns, inspiring paths of Doom Metal”, written by Luciano Peneleu, lead singer of the Stoner Doom Metal band, Erasy and also author of the book: O Calvário. He talks about how music or Doom Metal saved him from depression and art helped him heal.

Another cool thing is that the zine is easy to read. He is more “clean” and perhaps “in my opinion, of course”, the interviews could be longer and perhaps a little more in-depth on some topics.
It’s that old story in the underworld, no one does anything alone and it’s good that it’s like that, because the Underground has always had this union and partnership. Congratulations to editor Luciano Freire for this edition! May Seraph Zine have a long life! Hail the resistance of subversive writings!
