Brigada Metálica Fanzine “Heavy Metal To The World #01(2025)
O incansável zineiro André Chaves (Sepulchral Voice Zine/Escrituras do Submundo) lançou mais um artefato impresso que mantém a resistência do Underground em manter o culto ao material físico e registrar a história nas páginas de um zine.
Pelo nome do zine você já tem a noção que é focado ao Heavy Metal e acho esse nome fudido!
Esse artefato tem aquele jeito rústico, simples como os velhos fanzines feitos nos anos 80 e 90, com tesoura e cola. Sim, ele foi feito no método digital, porém, com “aquele vibe”, old school dos velhos tempos.
O que não mudou neste artefato é a velha paixão pelo metal e dedicação ao Underground. A capa do zine traz a foto em preto/branco que serviu de base para a capa do clássico álbum “Heaven And Hell,” do Black Sabbath, o primeiro registro com o saudoso Dio, nos vocais. Uma imagem em Polaroid tirada em 1982 que inspirou o artista Lynn Curlee, responsável pela icônica capa do Black Sabbath. E diga se de passagem: a capa do Brigada Metálica ficou muito legal! Outra coisa que não mudou são as boas entrevistas, um conteúdo lírico muito bom, como todos os trabalhos do André. Entrevista com as bandas: Sadist Messiah, Górgona e com os chilenos do Acero Letal e também com a lendária banda de Heavy Metal baiana Zona Abissal.

Brigada Metálica Fanzine “Heavy Metal To The World #01(2025)
The tireless zine maker André Chaves (Sepulchral Voice Zine/Escrituras do Submundo) has released another printed artifact that maintains the Underground’s resistance to maintaining a cult following and recording history in the pages of a zine. The zine’s name already gives you the idea that it’s focused on Heavy Metal, and I think that name is awesome! This artifact has that rustic, simple feel, like the old fanzines made in the ’80s and ’90s, with scissors and glue. Yes, it was made digitally, but with that old-school vibe from the old days.
What hasn’t changed in this artifact is the long-standing passion for metal and dedication to the underground. The zine’s cover features the black-and-white photo that served as the basis for the cover of Black Sabbath’s classic album “Heaven and Hell,” the first recording with the late Dio on vocals. A Polaroid image taken in 1982 inspired artist Lynn Curlee, responsible for the iconic Black Sabbath cover. And by the way: the Brigada Metálica cover turned out really cool! Another thing that hasn’t changed are the excellent interviews, with excellent lyrical content, like all of André’s work. Interviews with the bands: Sadist Messiah, Górgona, and the Chilean band Acero Letal, as well as the legendary Bahian heavy metal band Zona Abissal. Comments on releases by the bands: Naughty Dog, Cloven Hoof, Thrashera, and Thin Lizzy. In the Underground, no one does anything alone.
