Esse projeto já existe desde 2018 e após 1 single e duas demo tapes, o LEGISTA chega ao seu primeiro EP intitulado “Apostema”. Formado por Fábio Gorresen (Flesh Grinder) e Alessandro Marques, essa banda chafurda em excrementos e vomita três sons completamente imundos e desprovidos de qualquer beleza estética. São duas músicas próprias e um cover da banda Pathologist.
O EP abre com “Abscess”, uma música curta e direta, completamente fedida e cheia de pus, mas totalmente adepta de um splatter death metal totalmente tradicional. O groove é propositalmente pegajoso e os vocais são como grunhidos sanguinolentos.
A próxima faixa se atreve a ser maior, o que aumenta a sensação de que algo decomposto escorre pelos auto-falantes do equipamento. O odor só aumenta com a execução de “Formadehyde”. As guitarras são sujas, nervosas e se mantem assim em quase toda a música acompanhadas por um bateria cheia de swing e brutalidade.
Finalmente o cover do Pathologist se apresenta. “Cadavers in Medical Jurisprudence” se encaixa bem na asquerosa linha musical desse EP e é tocada com todo o cuidado que se teria a abrir um cadáver encontrado em avançado estado de decomposição. A autópsia realizada nessa composição é total e o LEGISTA entrega um trabalho feito com maestria e podridão.
Como todo excelente lançamento que se preze, “Apostema” possui uma arte de capa genial. Isso precisa estar em uma camiseta, pois o desenho é magnífico. Espero que a banda possa lançar esse material em versão física o mais rápido possível. A banda está pronta para o lançamento de um álbum completo…. que venha !

This project has existed since 2018, and after one single and two demo tapes, LEGISTA reaches its first EP, titled “Apostema”. Formed by Fábio Gorresen (Flesh Grinder) and Alessandro Marques, this band wallows in filth and vomits three utterly foul tracks, stripped of any aesthetic beauty. We get two original songs and a cover from Pathologist.
The EP opens with “Abscess”, a short and direct track, completely stinking and full of pus, yet fully committed to a traditional splatter death metal approach. The groove is intentionally sticky, and the vocals sound like blood-soaked grunts.
The next track dares to be longer, which only heightens the sensation that something decomposed is oozing through the speakers. The stench intensifies with the execution of “Formadehyde”. The guitars are dirty and tense, remaining so through almost the entire song, accompanied by drumming filled with both swing and brutality.
Finally, the Pathologist cover makes its appearance. “Cadavers in Medical Jurisprudence” fits seamlessly into the revolting musical line of this EP and is played with the same care one would take when opening a corpse found in an advanced state of decomposition. The autopsy performed on this composition is complete, and LEGISTA delivers a work crafted with mastery and putrefaction.
As with every excellent release worthy of attention, “Apostema” features brilliant cover art. This needs to be on a T-shirt— the illustration is magnificent. I hope the band can release this material in a physical format as soon as possible. The band is ready for a full-length album… bring it on!
