NOOSE ROT – The Creeping Unknow (CD 2024)

Alguns ditados realmente se mostram muito acertados e em relação a esse lançamento, o ditado que diz que “em pequenos frascos estão os melhores perfumes” é certeiro. O NOOSE ROT é uma banda norte-americana oriunda de Minneapolis e que se afunda na podridão para criar um death/doom que passa longe das melodias bonitas e climas soturnos.

“The Creeping Unknow” (lançado originalmente em 2018) é pura imundície e vibes negativas. O death metal tem uma influência direta dos abismos inferiores onde não há luz ou qualquer tipo de esperança. São apenas 16 minutos nesse EP que te impregnam com uma música pesadíssima, onde vocais, guitarras, baixo e bateria trabalham juntos para alcançar um resultado final que é devastador.

Curiosamente pude perceber influências dos nossos brasileiros do Sanctifier em alguns riffs de guitarra. Aqueles riffs mais intrincados surgem conferindo um pouco mais de complexidade e convivem muito bem com as bases de guitarra e riffs mais pesados e tradicionais. A produção do EP é excelente, assim como todo o lado artístico do encarte e capa. Tudo é realmente focado no underground em sua forma mais pura. É uma pena que não tenha as letras, sendo o encarte bem simples, mas isso é o de menos, já que o que mais importa é exatamente aquilo que esses caras entregam com maestria.

As faixas contidadas em “The Creeping Human” são: “Mass Grave Interment”, “Worship the Crypt”, “The Creeping Unknown” e “Bound in a Dark House”.

Para os apreciadores do old school death metal com pitadas de doom metal, o NOOSE ROT é a banda que vocês devem ouvir agora mesmo. Nada como uma boa dose de subterrâneo musical logo cedo pela manhã. Ouça, morra, apodreça !

Some sayings really are very accurate, and with regard to this release, the saying that “the best perfumes are found in small bottles” is spot on. NOOSE ROT is a North American band from Minneapolis that sinks into the rottenness to create a death/doom that is far from pretty melodies and gloomy atmospheres.

“The Creeping Unknow” (originally released in 2018) is pure filth and negative vibes. Death metal has a direct influence from the lower abysses where there is no light or any kind of hope. There are only 16 minutes on this EP that impregnate you with very heavy music, where vocals, guitars, bass and drums work together to achieve a final result that is devastating.

Curiously, I could notice influences from our Brazilian band Sanctifier in some of the guitar riffs. Those more intricate riffs appear to add a little more complexity and coexist very well with the heavier, more traditional guitar bases and riffs. The EP’s production is excellent, as is all the artwork on the booklet and cover. Everything is really focused on the underground in its purest form. It’s a shame that there are no lyrics, and the booklet is very simple, but that’s the least of it, since what matters most is exactly what these guys deliver with mastery.

For lovers of old school death metal with hints of doom metal, NOOSE ROT is the band you should listen to right now. Nothing like a good dose of underground music first thing in the morning. Listen, die, rot!
