HYPERDONTIA – Live at Kill-Town Death Fest 2022 (2023)

Para os que não conhecem o KILL-TOWN DEATH FEST, é um festival que ocorre desde 2010 em Copenhagem, na Dinamarca e é como se fosse uma Meca para os maníacos do mundo inteiro que busca fazer os seus tímpanos sangrarem ao serem massacrados por uma enxurrada de metal da morte underground. Não espere o mainstream aqui.

O subterrâneo se faz presente em cada edição e o festival é a vitrine para tudo o que de mais fudido o death metal atualmente tem a mostrar. E foi exatamente na edição do ano passado que a banda Turca/Dinamarquesa HYPERDONTIA tocou e acabou registrando de forma realmente matadora essa apresentação e agora temos o lançamento de “Live at Kill-Town Death Fest 2022”.

Para aquele que buscam um live ultra mega produzido, esqueça. Isso aqui é um material ao vivo feito por uma banda underground para o seu público underground. A gravação é muito foda, com tudo em seu devido lugar, mas ainda deixando espaço para a crueza que é um evento desse ao vivo.

Tudo cheira a enxofre e underground aqui. A começar pela maravilhosa arte da capa que é crua e completamente perfeita para esse lançamento. São 11 faixas registradas na apresentação do grupo no Kill-Town e que mostram o poder de fogo do HYPERDONTIA.

Impossível não ficar sentindo inveja de quem presenciou esse evento pessoalmente porque o que ouvimos aqui é o mais puro death metal abissal e tocado com total qualidade.

O HYPERDONTIA apresenta aqui faixas que passam por toda a sua carreira, desde o seu EP de estreia “Abhorrence Veil”, o debut álbum “Nexus of Teeth”, alguns singles, splits e EP´s e o segundo álbum do grupo “Hideous Entity”. A qualidade da apresentação dos caras é realmente impressionante, assim como a atmosfera do metal da morte que é executado por eles.

As duas últimas faixas do álbum, “Punctured Soul” e “Internal Incineration” tem uma produção diferente do restante das outras faixas, com um remix diferente. São muito mais pesadas e com uma qualidade mais cristalina.

Não sei ainda se esse material estará disponível em formato físico, mas espero que esteja, pois a qualidade é realmente boa e mostra a banda destruindo tudo ao seu redor no palco do Kill-Town. Espero que esses caras venham tocar por aqui no Brasil um dia. É um show realmente a se conferido.

For those who don’t know KILL-TOWN DEATH FEST, it’s a festival that takes place since 2010 in Copenhagen, Denmark and it’s like a Mecca for maniacs from all over the world looking to make their eardrums bleed by being slaughtered by a flood of underground death metal. Don’t expect the mainstream here.

The underground is present in every edition and the festival is the showcase for all that the most fucked up death metal currently has to show. And it was exactly in last year’s edition that the Turkish / Danish band HYPERDONTIA played and ended up recording this presentation in a really killer way and now we have the release of “Live at Kill-Town Death Fest 2022”.

For those looking for an ultra mega produced live, forget it. This is live material made by an underground band for their underground audience. The recording is very good, with everything in its proper place, but still leaving room for the rawness that is such a live event.

Everything smells of sulphur and underground here. Starting with the marvellous cover art which is raw and completely perfect for this release. There are 11 tracks recorded at the group’s performance in Kill-Town and that show the firepower of HYPERDONTIA.

It is impossible not to feel envious of those who witnessed this event in person because what we hear here is the purest abyssal death metal and played with total quality.

HYPERDONTIA presents here tracks that go through their whole career, from their debut EP “Abhorrence Veil”, the debut album “Nexus of Teeth”, some singles, splits and EP’s and the second album of the group “Hideous Entity”. The quality of the guys’ performance is really impressive, as well as the death metal atmosphere that is executed by them.

The last two tracks of the album, “Punctured Soul” and “Internal Incineration” have a different production than the rest of the tracks, with a different remix. They are much heavier and with a more crystalline quality.

I don’t know yet if this material will be available in physical format, but I hope it is, because the quality is really good and shows the band destroying everything around them on the Kill-Town stage. I hope these guys come to play here in Brazil one day. It’s really a show to check out.
