A banda pode ser relativamente recente, já que o primeiro registro é de 2020, mas os três personagens envolvidos são bem conhecidos no submundo do Black Metal Germânico, e ligados a nomes atualmente quentes e de muita qualidade, como MAVORIM, TOTENWACHE e ASENHEIM.
No EISENKULT, o trio desenvolve um Black Metal de personalidade única, fundamentado principalmente na segunda onda, bastante melódico e com forte presença de teclados. O ataque às entidades religiosas é crítico e constante, a zombaria e escárnio são propostos com boa dosagem de humor.
O fato é que a fórmula funciona muito bem, e a banda soube aproveitar-se do momento positivo para lançar, a partir de 2020, dois álbuns completos de estúdio e um Split com o ATRONOS (ALE). Mantendo a média, os caras estão lançando seu terceiro álbum em março, o excelente “Vulgäre, deutsche Hassmusik” via “Purity Through Fire”.
A introdução “Anrufung” (ou “Invocação” em português) têm sintetizadores que remetem diretamente aos sinos, órgãos e hinos de igreja, com vocais em coro, coral feminino angelical ao fundo, numa celebração sinistra e em tom de desdém relativamente ao sagrado.
“Der Teufel hat’s gesandt” é amostra da qualidade da banda, que abusa dos riffs memoráveis. Também comprova a esquisitice da sonoridade com os teclados bizarros, utilizados com maestria ao longo do álbum (bem como nas obras anteriores). Os vocais são ríspidos, mas dividem espaço com efetivas dobras, quase limpas.
Os vocais limpos, sempre empregados em dobras, funcionam bem e ampliam a excentricidade da experiência proporcionada pelo EISENKULT. Como na excepcional “Bizarr und erbärmlich”, um dos destaques individuais. Confira o vídeo insano (e polêmico) desse som, já disponível no “YouTube”.
As partes mais extremas estão presentes em “Da ist nichts”, veloz e de ar belicoso. Os teclados atmosféricos após pouco mais de um minuto parecem direcioná-la a uma inevitável metamorfose, que se confirma mas não a descaracteriza, mantendo o espírito agressivo.
“Tränensäufer” é divertida, com a criativa fusão de riffs matadores e teclados esquizofrênicos gerando ótimos resultados. “Te Deum” destaca-se por ser direta, obscura e colérica, única faixa do disco sem a intervenção de sintetizadores.
Difícil escutar “Niederes Gewürm” (Verme humilde, em tradução livre) e não ficar com um sorriso irônico na cara. Pura provocação e escárnio em forma de Black Metal. “Gnadenville” é mais extensa que a média, com grandioso segmento atmosférico e efeito hipnótico em sua seção final.
Temos em “Vulgäre, deutsche Hassmusik” um excelente álbum de Black Metal contemporâneo, único em criatividade e execução. Soa divertidamente estranho, desconfortável, acena às tradições arcaicas do subgênero sem o mínimo receio de transgredi-las quando eles julgam necessário. São 39 minutos fluídos, e que pedem por novas audições.

The band may be a recent formation, as the first record came out in 2020, but the three characters involved are well known in the Germanic Black Metal underworld, and linked to currently hot, quality names, such as MAVORIM, TOTENWACHE and ASENHEIM.
In EISENKULT, the trio develops Black Metal with a refined, unique personality, mainly based on the second wave, melodic and with strong presence of keyboards. The assault on religious entities is critical and constant, mockery is presented with a high dose of loathing and dark humor.
Fact is, the formula works very well, and the band didn’t waste time taking advantage of the positive creative moment to release two full studio albums and a Split with ATRONOS (GER) under a three-year period. Keeping the average, the gents are releasing their third album in March, the excellent “Vulgäre, deutsche Hassmusik” via “Purity Through Fire”.
The introduction “Anrufung” (or “Invocation” in good old English) has synthesizers that immediately refer to bells, organs and church hymns, with several voices singing in choir and an additional angelic female choir in the background, turning it into a sinister celebration in a tone of disdain towards everything sacred.
“Der Teufel hat’s gesandt” is a fine sample of the band’s quality, which abuses memorable riffs. It’s also a token of their sound’s weirdness, with all the bizarre keyboards, masterfully played throughout the album (as well as in previous works). The vocals are harsh, but they share space with effective, almost clean doubles.
The clean vocals, always performed in doubles, work extremely well and amplify the eccentricity of the experience provided by EISENKULT. As in the exceptional “Bizarr und erbärmlich”, one of the individual highlights. Check out the insane (and controversial) video for the song, it’s available on “YouTube”.
The most extreme parts are present in “Da ist nichts”, fast paced and menacing. The atmospheric keyboards after just over a minute seem to direct it towards an inevitable metamorphosis, which actually takes place, but it does not deviate the track from its naturally aggressive spirit.
“Tränensäufer” is pure fun, with a creative fusion of killer riffs and schizophrenic keyboards, producing great results. “Te Deum” stands out for being straightforward, dark and choleric, the only track on the album without the intervention of synths.
It’s hard to listen to “Niederes Gewürm” (Humble Worm, in free translation) without putting an ironic smile to your face. Pure insult and mockery in the form of Black Metal. “Gnadenville” is lengthier than average, with a grand atmospheric section and hypnotic effects in its final segment.
We have in “Vulgäre, deutsche Hassmusik” an excellent contemporary Black Metal album, unique in creativity and execution. It sounds amusingly strange, uncomfortable, nodding to the archaic traditions of the genre without the slightest concern of transgressing when they deem it necessary. It offers thirty-nine fluid, exciting minutes, which ask for repeated plays.
