Sepulchral Voice Zine # 11 – Ano de lançamento – Novembro/2024
Na época que descobri o heavy metal eu era somente um garoto e como não tínhamos informações como temos nos dias atuais,éramos informados ou influenciados por “revistas coloridinhas e que só nos entregavam bandas do mainstream” e nada contra elas e seus editoriais focados somente em lucros. Como disse: era o que tínhamos de acesso. Porém, logo depois descobri os contatos que encontrava nessas mesmas revistas e comecei a trocar missivas com headbangers e também com bandas, e descobri os fanzines.
Depois que descobri o verdadeiro underground e mais precisamente a cena dos subterrâneos, as revistas capitalistas perderam o sentido para mim, e os zines mudaram minha ótica e a partir daí nasceu dentro de mim: o amor e o respeito pelo metal nacional! O que me chamou atenção, na época, foi a união entre os headbangers e a vontade de ser e pertencer ao underground. Todos queríamos de alguma forma ajudar a cena montando bandas, organizando shows ou criando zines e participando daquilo tudo de alguma maneira. E hoje com a informação ao alcance de todos, os zines estão ainda aí fazendo o seu papel: registrar a cena daquele período e chegando em mãos de metalheads que sabem o valor dos zines.
O frater André Chaves lançou a décima segunda edição do Sepulchral Voice Zine, e na minha opinião um dos melhores compêndios de informações subversivas do cenário nacional entre tantos outros zines que estão cada vez melhores em seus lançamentos,seja na estética e conteúdo subversivo. Desta vez André convidou outros fanzineiros e admiradores das escritas dos subterrâneos e essa congregação demoníaca entregou um artefato com muitas entrevistas matadoras, com bastante posturas e conhecimento da causa tanto os entrevistados, quanto o entrevistador! Entrevistas longas e ricas em detalhes, com bastante informações e que nos dá prazer em degustá-las tais entrevistas.
Nesta décima segunda edição teve colaboradores demoníacos e conhecedores do underground que são: Leandro Teixeira, Sérgio W. Vilhena, Renato Rosatti, Mario Tenebrarum, Jaime kbrunco Amorim, Valdecir Terror Andrade, Lúcio Medeiros, Ukur Azag e esse que vós escreve me senti muito honrado de participar pela segunda vez de uma edição sepulcral e com pessoas do nível desses colaboradores, que são conhecedores e guerreiros do cenário. Entrevistas com grandes bandas: Mortal Profecia, Morbid Perversion, Negative Vórtex, Volkmort, Masacre, (Colômbia) Negative Summer, Orthostat, Necropussy e também com o nobre amigo Elton Lima do Manifesto em Fúria Zine e do lendário Visão Underground Zine de Teresina, (PI) contando tudo sobre sua trajetória no submundo.
Todas as entrevistas foram muito bem elaboradas e longas, mas muito ricas em detalhes. Outra entrevista que achei foda foi com o Kexo da Infamous Glory, dando uma geral na carreira da banda. É fato que o metal sempre andou de mãos dadas com a literatura e a sétima arte, e aqui temos uma matéria sobre o clássico filme: O Massacre da Serra Elétrica, falando dos bastidores de um dos grandes e indispensáveis filmes de horror de todos os tempos. Texto escrito por Renato Rosatti baseado no livro lançado por aqui via editora Dark Side. “… O Massacre da Serra Elétrica é atemporal, inigualável, talvez até uma obra de arte: ele criou vida própria além de qualquer coisa que seus realizadores pudessem ter imaginado…”
E ainda temos as resenhas de cds e a já tradicional seção “Buried, But Not Forgotten” com um texto bem legal do amigo Mario Tenebrarum contado um pouco da história da grandiosa banda de black grind holandesa Unlord e infelizmente pouco conhecida no submundo. E finalizando com um tour report escrito pelo Valdecir Terror da distro/selo Morte Pacífica, que passou pela cidade de Cascavel no oeste paranaense, eu tenho vários amigos, nesta cidade e entre eles o grande Joe Barzotto que inclusive já entrevistei ele aqui para o site. Caso queiram conhecer um pouco mais de sua história. E o cara ainda foi até Asunción, no Paraguai, onde fez vários contatos e nos contou um pouco da cena deste país. Essa décima segunda edição do Sepulchral Voice Zine é um espetáculo! Vão atrás, porque merecem ter na coleção de quem aprecia zines. Zines é uma ferramenta essencial para o underground mesmo em um mundo digital.

At the time I discovered heavy metal I was just a boy and as we didn’t have information like we do today, we were informed or influenced by “colorful magazines that only gave us mainstream bands” and nothing against them and their editorials focused solely on profits. As I said: it was what we had access to. However, soon after I discovered the contacts I found in these same magazines and started exchanging letters with headbangers and also with bands, and discovered fanzines.
After I discovered the true underground and more precisely the underground scene, capitalist magazines lost their meaning for me, and zines changed my perspective and from then on, love and respect for national metal was born within me! What caught my attention, at the time, was the union between the headbangers and the desire to be and belong to the underground. We all wanted to help the scene in some way by putting together bands, organizing shows or creating zines and participating in it all in some way. And today, with information available to everyone, zines are still doing their job: recording the scene of that period and reaching the hands of metalheads who know the value of zines.
Brother André Chaves launched the twelfth edition of Sepulchral Voice Zine, and in my opinion one of the best compendiums of subversive information on the national scene among many other zines that are increasingly better in their releases, whether in aesthetics or subversive content. This time André invited other fans and admirers of underground writings and this demonic congregation delivered an artifact with many killer interviews, with plenty of attitudes and knowledge of the cause for both the interviewees and the interviewer! Long interviews, rich in details, with a lot of information and it gives us pleasure to enjoy these interviews.
This twelfth edition had demonic collaborators and experts in the underground who are: Leandro Teixeira, Sérgio W. Vilhena, Renato Rosatti, Mario Tenebrarum, Jaime kbrunco Amorim, Valdecir Terror Andrade, Lúcio Medeiros, Ukur Azag and the one you write I felt very honored to participate for the second time in a sepulchral edition and with people at the level of these collaborators, who are experts and warriors of the scene. All interviews were very well prepared and long, but very rich in details. Another interview that I thought was amazing was with Kexo from Infamous Glory, giving an overview of the band’s career. It’s a fact that metal has always gone hand in hand with literature and the seventh art, and here we have an article about the classic film: The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, talking about the behind-the-scenes of one of the great and indispensable horror films of all time. Text written by Renato Rosatti based on the book released here via Dark Side publisher. “…The Texas Chainsaw Massacre is timeless, unparalleled, perhaps even a work of art: it created a life of its own beyond anything its makers could have imagined…”And we still have CD reviews and the now traditional “Buried, But Not Forgotten” section with a really cool text by friend Mario Tenebrarum telling a little about the history of the great Dutch black grind band Unlord, unfortunately little known in the underworld.
And finishing with a tour report written by Valdecir Terror from the Morte Pacífica distro/label, which passed through the city of Cascavel in the west of Paraná, I have several friends in this city and among them the great Joe Barzotto who I have even interviewed him here for the website.
