INCESSANT DAMNATION / LEPROVORE – Leprodamnation (Split 7´ ep – 2023 – Adv.)

As regiões Norte e Nordeste do Brasil têm produzido cada vez mais bandas de Metal Extremo de alto nível, caso dos Amazonenses do INCESSANT DAMNATION e dos Baianos do LEPROVORE, ambas formadas há alguns anos e com suas discografias, até aqui, limitadas a uma Demo cada.

 O público fanático por Death Metal poderá conferir a potência das duas formações a partir do memorável Split “Leprodamnation”, a ser lançado no final do mês de maio pelas gravadoras “My Dark Desires Records” e “Symposium of Sickness Records” exclusivamente em Vinil vermelho de 7”, capa Gatefold com acabamento envernizado e limitado a apenas 333 cópias.

 O luxuoso vinil ganhou arte de capa matadora e totalmente old school, desenvolvida pelo lendário “Mark Riddick”, renomado ilustrador de atos como HORRENDOUS (EUA), DESTRUKTOR (AUS), HYPERDONTIA (INT), LIK (SUE), NUNSLAUGHTER (EUA), VARATHRON (GRE) entre tantos outros. O layout ficou a cargo do igualmente competente e célebre “Alcides Burn”.  

 Além do Vinil, a “My Dark Desires Records” disponibilizará camisetas brancas com a arte da capa do EP, produzidas pela estamparia “Pútrida Arte”.

 O quinteto INCESSANT DAMNATION apresenta na faixa “The Original Lies” o seu Death Metal da velha escola, blasfemo, odioso e extremamente pesado, trampado a partir da bateria devastadora de “Cesar Instus” e do baixo potente de “Carlos Lúcifer”, soando alto e marcante no mix. As guitarras de “Imperador Obscenum” e “Ars Abyssus” empilham riffs assassinos, executados com muita precisão e entrosamento.

 Destaque final para os vocais demoníacos de “Bestial”, vomitando blasfêmias prolificamente, numa união repulsiva de escárnio e profanidade. A faixa alterna segmentos com ritmos médios, velozes e lentos, estes últimos enriquecidos com ótimos efeitos sonoros, que aprofundam sensivelmente a vibe tenebrosa.

 A faixa do LEPROVORE recebeu o título “Pallor Mortis”, e explode nos falantes com seu Death Metal autêntico e cativante, igualmente fundamentado na velha escola e majoritariamente inspirado por temas de horror e blasfêmia.

O quarteto baiano, formado por expoentes do underground do estado, oferece no Split uma música altamente viciante e explosiva, de acelerações insanas e uma rifferama monstruosa, cortesia das guitarras de “Elder Lins”. A produção evidenciou a cozinha rítmica do batera “Daniel Excruciator” e do baixista “Zulbert Buery”, precisa e esmagadora.    

 Com relação às vocalizações, “Demétrio Invocation” faz um trabalho digno de nota, complementando o instrumental com uma abordagem crua e certeira, dosando e equilibrando a imundície com boa técnica e sangue nos olhos.

 Em resumo, duas bandas excelentes de Death Metal que despontam e contribuem com o cenário nacional e miram exposição global, oferecendo uma amostra inequívoca de suas habilidades e experiência no submundo.

 Fica o desejo de ouvir muito mais de ambas no futuro próximo, e a forte recomendação de aquisição deste belíssimo material, em especial ao leitor que aprecie o destruidor “Brazilian Extreme Metal” de nomes como HEADHUNTER D. C., SEVO, MYSTIFIER, GRAVE DESECRATOR, PODRIDÃO, NERVOCHAOS, MALEFACTOR, HOLOCAUSTO.

The Brazilian North and Northeast regions have been spawning more and more top-notch Extreme Metal bands, such as INCESSANT DAMNATION from Manaus (capital city to the Amazonas state, in the amazon region) and LEPROVORE from Salvador (Bahia state’s capital, in the Northeastern region), both formed a few years ago and packing just one demo each.

 Death Metal fanatics will be able to attest the power of both formations checking out the memorable “Leprodamnation” Split, to be released in late May by labels “My Dark Desires Records” and “Symposium of Sickness Records” exclusively on 7” red vinyl with Gatefold cover, limited to 333 copies.

 The luxurious vinyl features killer, old school cover art designed by legendary “Mark Riddick”, the renowned illustrator behind releases by HORRENDOUS (USA), DESTRUKTOR (AUS), HYPERDONTIA (INT), LIK (SWE), NUNSLAUGHTER (USA), VARATHRON (GRC), among many others. The layout was in charge of the equally skilled and notorious “Alcides Burn”.

  In addition to the Vinyl, “My Dark Desires Records” will offer white t-shirts featuring the EP’s cover art, produced by Brazilian “Pútrida Arte” print shop.

  Quintet INCESSANT DAMNATION offers in their track “The Original Lies” their old school, blasphemous, hateful, and extremely heavy brand of Death Metal, which takes shape with the hellish, devastating drumming of “Cesar Instus” and “Carlos Lúcifer’s” powerful bass lines, sounding loud and prominent in the mix. The guitars of the duo “Imperador Obscenum” and “Ars Abyssus” keep stacking murderous riffs, always executed with precision and synchrony.

  The demonic vocals performed by “Bestial” make for the ultimate highlight, spewing forth profanities in a repulsive blend of mockery and blasphemy. The track alternates sections with medium, fast and slow rhythms, the latter enriched with compelling sound effects, which significantly deepen the eerie, bleak vibe.

  LEPROVORE’s track is titled “Pallor Mortis”, and it blasts from the speakers as an authentic and catchy piece of Death Metal, similarly grounded in the old school unholy commandments and mostly inspired by horror and antireligious themes.

The quartet, formed by exponents of Bahia state’s underground, offers a highly addictive, incendiary track, packed with insane accelerations and monstrous riffs, courtesy of guitarist “Elder Lins”. Production highlighted the rhythmic duo “Daniel Excruciator” (Drums) and “Zulbert Buery” (Bass), an accurate and crushing machine.

  With respect to vocalizations, “Demétrio Invocation” delivers a superb job, complementing the instrumental with a raw and commanding approach, balancing the filth with good technique and imposing attitude.

  In summary, two excellent emergent Death Metal bands which contribute to the Brazilian national scene while aiming for global exposure, offering an unequivocal sample of their skills and experience in the metal underground.

  The Split EP clearly leaves the desire to hear a lot more from both bands in the near future, resulting in a strong recommendation to acquire such magnificent and limited material, especially for those into the destructive “Brazilian Extreme Metal” brewed by names such as HEADHUNTER D. C., SEVO, MYSTIFIER, HOLOCAUSTO, GRAVE DESECRATOR, PODRIDÃO, NERVOCHAOS, MALEFACTOR.
