Lançado originalmente em 2024, “Lifeless Birth” é o terceiro álbum da banda norte-americana de old school death metal NECROT e o seu trabalho mais sólido e maduro até o momento. A sonoridade que já havia me agradado demais em “Blood Offerings” e “Mortal” só foi aprimorada e lapidada nesse novo álbum da banda.
O death metal do NECROT honrou de forma muito evidente a sonoridade do metal da morte norte-americano. Quando você ouve as faixas de abertura “Cut the Cord” e a faixa título “Lifeless Birth” isso fica mais claro. São duas composições técnicas, com um certo grau de complexidade e uma enorme intensidade. Assim como em todo o álbum, essas duas músicas mostram uma banda mais diversa em termos de composição. São músicas rápidas, pesadas e que me remetem imediatamente ao death metal da Florida.
“Superior” é uma porrada na cara com direito a requintes de crueldade, tamanha é a selvageria na faixa. O melhor é que a música também oferece momentos mais lentos e cheios de groove.
“Drill the Skull” é uma música perfeita para bater cabeça, com guitarras marcando forte e uma vocalização que encaixou como uma luva nessa faixa. Os riffs são marcantes, mesmo quando a brutalidade se faz presente, um momento que me lembrou um pouco o som feito pelo Brutality. A próxima é uma das melhores músicas do álbum. “Winds of Hell” é mais cadenciada e cheia de energia destrutiva, muito em parte por causa do excelente trabalho do guitarrista Sonny Reinhardt e do baterista Chad Gailey, que criam juntos uma atmosfera carregada.
“Dead Memories” continua na mesma pegada, um pouco mais rápida e traz excelentes solos de guitarra e a última faixa é a intensa “The Curse”, outra pedrada desse excelente álbum. “Lifeless Birth” mostra que o NECROT é um nome a ser respeitado dentro da cena old school death metal norte-americana e espero que o próximo álbum de estúdio venha o mais breve possível.
A versão em CD lançada pela Blasphemy Productions é excelente, com a parte gráfica mantendo a qualidade original e trazendo todas as letras. Os death metallers agradecem o acesso a esse álbum.

Originally released in 2024, “Lifeless Birth” is the third album by the American old school death metal band Necrot and their most solid and mature work to date. The sound that had already impressed me on “Blood Offerings” and “Mortal” has only been further refined and sharpened on this new album.
Necrot’s death metal clearly honors the sound of classic American death metal. When you listen to the opening tracks “Cut the Cord” and the title track “Lifeless Birth”, that becomes very evident. These are two technical compositions with a certain degree of complexity and tremendous intensity. As with the entire album, these tracks show a band that is more diverse in terms of songwriting. They are fast, heavy songs that immediately remind me of the Florida death metal scene.
“Superior” is a punch straight to the face, with a level of brutality that borders on cruelty due to the sheer savagery of the track. The best part is that the song also delivers slower, groove-filled moments.
“Drill the Skull” is a perfect headbanging track, with guitars striking hard and a vocal performance that fits the song like a glove. The riffs are memorable, even when the brutality takes over—there is a moment that reminded me somewhat of the sound of Brutality.
The next song is one of the best on the album. “Winds of Hell” is more mid-paced and packed with destructive energy, largely due to the excellent work of guitarist Sonny Reinhardt and drummer Chad Gailey, who together create a dense and oppressive atmosphere.
“Dead Memories” continues in the same vein, a bit faster and featuring excellent guitar solos. The final track is the intense “The Curse”, another crushing blow from this outstanding album. “Lifeless Birth” proves that Necrot is a name to be respected within the American old school death metal scene, and I hope their next studio album arrives as soon as possible.
The CD version released by Blasphemy Productions is excellent, with the graphic design maintaining the original quality and including all the lyrics. Death metal fans will certainly appreciate having access to this album.
