Uma das bandas mais desgraçadas da cena extrema da Austrália finalmente está de volta após 1 década sem lançamentos oficiais. O ABOMINATOR é um daqueles nomes que carregam no seu DNA a mais pura selvageria e caos musical e uma coisa é certa, todos os fãs da brutalidade emanada daquela país aguardam por um novo trabalho deles.
O novo álbum é intitulado “The Fire Brethren” é será lançado no próximo dia 31 de Outubro, uma data mais do que adequada para espalhar essa maldade mundo afora. Eu tenho uma opinião que aquela crueza e maldade que marcaram época na cena extrema brasileiros dos anos 80 acabaram se transferindo para a cena australiana e se mesclando ao que bandas como o ABOMINATOR vem criando desde o início da sua trajetória. Chris Vulcano e Anthony Undertaker não brincam em serviço quando o assunto é criar destruição em forma de acordes musicais.
Se é que é possível “The Fire Brethen” é ainda mais brutal do que os trabalhos anteriores da banda e traz oito faixas que mesclam de forma muito equilibrada velocidade, peso, uma sujeira necessária e devastação. O álbum não é para ouvidos fracos ou não acostumados com esse nível de açoite.
Tudo soa como uma briga descontrolada, é pura destruição e isso é muito necessário em uma época em que tudo parece ter se esfacelado. Nesse novo álbum é possível perceber, em algumas músicas, uma influência da Ross Bay Area, com nomes como Blasphemy e Proclamation. As guitarras são tocadas como serras cortando tecidos e ossos, alimentando o solo com o sangue de posers.
Apesar de toda a violência aqui apresentada, há momentos mais contidos, soando quando marciais, como na música título. Mas não ache que seus ouvidos terão descanso. Como tudo que é passageiro, esses momentos não duram muito e logo você é atingido por mais e mais riffs duros como rocha. A bateria vai martelando sem parar e os vocais invocam demônios de puro desespero.
Resumindo, “The Fire Breathen” é um álbum que fez valer a demora por um novo álbum, pois o que o ABOMINATOR entregou aqui é a mais pura arte do caos. Tudo soa como o apocalipse e essa é uma sensação que perdura do início ao fim do álbum. Ouça, se renda ou morra.

One of the most notorious bands on Australia’s extreme scene is finally back after a decade without any official releases. ABOMINATOR is one of those names that carries pure savagery and musical chaos in its DNA, and one thing is certain: all fans of the brutality emanating from that country are eagerly awaiting their new work.
The new album is titled “The Fire Brethren” and will be released on October 31, a more than appropriate date to spread this evil around the world. I believe that the rawness and evil that marked the Brazilian extreme scene in the 1980s ended up transferring to the Australian scene and merging with what bands like ABOMINATOR have been creating since the beginning of their career. Chris Vulcano and Anthony Undertaker don’t mess around when it comes to creating destruction in the form of musical chords.
If possible, “The Fire Brethen” is even more brutal than the band’s previous works and features eight tracks that blend speed, heaviness, necessary dirtiness, and devastation in a very balanced way. The album is not for weak ears or those unaccustomed to this level of punishment.
Everything sounds like an uncontrolled fight, it is pure destruction, and that is very necessary in a time when everything seems to have fallen apart. In this new album, it is possible to notice, in some songs, an influence from the Ross Bay Area, with names like Blasphemy and Proclamation. The guitars are played like saws cutting through fabric and bones, feeding the soil with the blood of posers.
Despite all the violence presented here, there are more restrained moments, sounding martial, as in the title track. But don’t think your ears will get a break. Like everything that is fleeting, these moments don’t last long, and soon you are hit by more and more rock-hard riffs. The drums hammer away relentlessly, and the vocals invoke demons of pure despair.
In short, “The Fire Breathen” is an album that made the wait for a new album worthwhile, because what ABOMINATOR delivered here is the purest art of chaos. Everything sounds like the apocalypse, and that’s a feeling that lasts from the beginning to the end of the album. Listen, surrender, or die.
