Uma banda na ativa desde 1991 e fazendo a mesma música doentia e extrema de sempre é algo que, por si só, já é de se tirar o chapéu e quando essa música mantém a qualidade através dos anos é melhor ainda. Os veteranos espanhóis do HAEMORRHAGE retornaram com um novo lançamento que é o primeiro de inéditas desde o álbum “We Are the Gore” (2017) e a demo “The Amputation Sessions”, de 2023.
A banda não precisa de apresentações, principalmente se você é um entusiasta do metal extremo mundial. “Opera Medica” traz o quinteto espanhol vomitando brutalidade em quatro músicas próprias e um doentio cover os suecos o Dismember “Deathevokation”.
As quatro faixas da banda são o que eu poderia chamar de o puro suco da imundície musical que é tão a cara do HAEMORRHAGE. Death metal, splatter, riffs doentios, vocais necessariamente cheios de podridão e uma bateria que soa como tiros disparados em público. Os pouco mais de 18 minutos que compõem esse lançamento são diretos e intensos.
“Scapel, Scissors…and Other Forensick Instruments” abre o EP com qualidade e muito peso. As bases de guitarra e uma linha de bateria que me lembrou o velho General Surgery, algo completamente propício para uma roda de pancadaria desenfreada. A segunda música vai arrasar com o seu quarteirão. “Polyclinic Abattoirs” é a melhor música aqui. Desde os primeiros acordes tudo explode no seu alto-falante e espalha dejetos por todos os lados.
A terceira música é “Obstretic Phantom” é pura adrenalina em forma musical. Há algo de doentio em faixas assim que as fazem soar incríveis. É uma música para bater sua cabeça, fraturar seu pescoço e sacudir seu cérebro perigosamente dentro da sua caixa craniana. A última faixa da banda é “Nomenclator Pathologicum”, uma hecatombe de brutalidade e peso que mostra que o HAEMORRHAGE continua um mestre de sua própria arte.
Como dito anteriormente, a última música é uma versão para a faixa “Deathevokation”, dos suecos do Dismember. A banda conseguiu colocar seu próprio toque à música, mas sem esquecer do quanto ela soa infame em sua versão original. Um verdadeiro tributo a uma banda veterana que se mantém até hoje fiel às suas origens.
A produção sonora desse EP é muito boa e a arte da capa ficou muito legal, sem um exagero de cores.. Simples e totalmente conectada à proposta da própria banda. Esse lançamento antecedeu o novo álbum do grupo espanhol. Intitulado “Emetic Cult 3.0”, o novo trabalho foi lançado em 7 de Junho via Bizarre Leprous Productions.

A band that has been active since 1991 and still playing the same sick and extreme music as always is something that, in itself, deserves a tip of the hat, and when that music maintains its quality over the years, it’s even better. Spanish veterans HAEMORRHAGE have returned with a new release, their first of new material since the album “We Are the Gore” (2017) and the demo “The Amputation Sessions” from 2023.
The band needs no introduction, especially if you are a fan of extreme metal worldwide. “Opera Medica” features the Spanish quintet spewing brutality in four original songs and a sick cover of the Swedish band Dismember‘s “Deathevokation”.
The band’s four tracks are what I would call the pure juice of musical filth that is so characteristic of HAEMORRHAGE. Death metal, splatter, sick riffs, vocals necessarily full of rot, and drums that sound like shots fired in public. The just over 18 minutes that make up this release are direct and intense.
“Scapel, Scissors…and Other Forensick Instruments” opens the EP with quality and a lot of weight. The guitar bases and a drum line that reminded me of the old General Surgery, something completely conducive to a round of unbridled fighting. The second song will destroy your neighborhood. “Polyclinic Abattoirs” is the best song here. From the first chords, everything explodes in your speaker and spreads waste everywhere.
The third song, “Obstretic Phantom” is pure adrenaline in musical form. There is something sick about tracks like this that makes them sound incredible. It’s a song to bang your head to, fracture your neck, and shake your brain dangerously inside your skull. The band’s last track is “Nomenclator Pathologicum” a hecatomb of brutality and heaviness that shows that HAEMORRHAGE remains a master of its own art.
As mentioned earlier, the last song is a cover of the track “Deathevokation” by the Swedish band Dismember. The band managed to put their own touch on the song, but without forgetting how infamous it sounds in its original version. A true tribute to a veteran band that remains faithful to its origins to this day.
The sound production of this EP is very good and the cover art is very cool, without an exaggeration of colors… Simple and totally connected to the band’s own proposal. This release preceded the Spanish group’s new album. Entitled “Emetic Cult 3.0”, the new work was released on June 7 via Bizarre Leprous Productions.
