TOTAL DESASTRE – Trágica Existência (CD demo 2022)

Nosso país é muito grande e é difícil conhecermos tudo e principalmente a cena Underground que nos quatro cantos do país tem bandas com atitude, que acreditam no seu trabalho e fazem as coisas acontecerem no submundo. E no Centro-Oeste não é diferente, com muitas bandas matadoras!  Mais precisamente de Cuiabá, MT, vem o Total Desastre, banda que existe no submundo desde 2006. Em suas fileiras estão Anãretã Anha Kau Ratto, (G/B e backing vocals) Cachorrão, (D) Gislene (V) e Camilo Saes no contrabaixo que infelizmente faleceu recentemente e este material é dedicado a ele.

A banda já tem em sua história materiais lançados no submundo como: Tropas da Morte (Demo/2008) e o Full Length “Infernal Metal Attack” de 2013, que foi muito bem aceito no submundo na época de seu lançamento. E esse CD Demo Ensaio com 5 faixas matadoras de um Death Thrash Metal, carregado de muita dedicação e amor à suprema arte negra. Em  2023 participaram do lançamento: “Deathrashers: Ensaios sobre o apocalipse”, em formato split com as bandas: Gomorraa, Nordeath, Retaliador e cada banda participando com duas músicas. O verdadeiro Underground caminha assim, lutando com bravura e “Unidos somos fortes”!

O artefato começa com “Intro + Gênios da Mentira”, com uma  pegada bem na linha Death  Thrash Metal. A vocalista Gislene canta nessa música com um vocal rasgado e dá para ouvir perfeitamente o que ela vocifera. Seguindo com “Trágica Existência” com uma pegada mais cadenciada, um baixo poderoso e dando suporte para o peso da bateria.  Apesar de ser um “Demo Ensaio” a produção tá acima da média por ser captado dessa forma. 

A terceira faixa “Ódio e Sangue” que me fez lembrar do velho e cultuado Vulcano. Faixa bem rápida e bateria bem encaixada. Os vocais de Gislene nessa faixa lembrou o velho, Angel. O som desses cuiabanos é totalmente old school, mesclando o Thrash Metal e o Death Metal direto, agressivo e pesado.

A quarta faixa “Armagedom” já inicia com um riff violento é totalmente rápido numa linha bem Thrash Metal com guitarras pesadas e bases simples que cola na mente. As letras em português versam sobre a hipocrisia humana e o câncer das instituições religiosas.

“Na violência dos fracassados/religiões ainda sustentam a ignorância”. Perfeito!

Fechando com “inimigo Mítico do ser Supremo” é muito foda! Com um riff poderoso e uma base simples que sustenta a música. Partes rápidas e partes cadenciadas faz alegria dos insanos batedores de cabeça e amantes do metal negro. Sem frescuras, apenas metal!

“Trágica Existência” é  muito bom! E fico aqui imaginando esse trabalho gravado com uma produção melhor seria perfeito! Mas pelo que eu já ouvi e conheci, eles preferem trabalhar dessa forma e deixar o Total Desastre habitando o submundo e fazendo seu trabalho na escuridão. 

“Na sua trágica existência um romantismo decadente / A morte do ser / O sepulcro marca o ritual / O final teatral dos homens / Se acaba no fechar das cortinas”.

ENGLISH VERSION:

Our country is very big and it is difficult to know everything and especially the Underground scene which in the four corners of the country has bands with attitude, who believe in their work and make things happen in the underworld. And in the Midwest it’s no different, with lots of killer bands! More precisely from Cuiabá, MT, comes TOTAL DESASTRE, a band that has existed in the underworld since 2006. In its ranks are Anãretã Anha Kau Ratto, (G/B and backing vocals) Cachorrão, (D) Gislene (V) and Camilo Saes in double bass who unfortunately passed away recently and this material is dedicated to him.

The band already has in its history materials released in the underworld such as: “Tropas da Morte” (Demo/2008) and the Full Length “Infernal Metal Attack” from 2013, which was very well accepted in the underworld at the time of its release. And this CD Demo Ensaio with 5 killer tracks of Death Thrash Metal, loaded with a lot of dedication and love for the supreme black art. In 2023 they participated in the release: “Deaththrashers: Ensaios para o Apocalipse|” (Deathrashers: Essays on the apocalypse”), in a split format with the bands: “, Nordeath, Retaliador and each band participating with two songs. The true Underground walks like this, fighting bravely and “United we are strong”!

The artifact starts with “Intro + Gênios da Mentira” (“Intro + Geniuses of Lies”), with a feel very much in the Death Thrash Metal line. Vocalist Gislene sings in this song with a torn vocal and you can hear perfectly what she shouts. Continuing with “Trágica Existência” with a more rhythmic feel, a powerful bass and supporting the weight of the drums. Despite being a “Demo Rehearsal” the production is above average for being captured in this way.

The third track “Ódio e Sangue” reminded me of the old and revered Vulcano. Very fast track and well fitted battery. Gislene’s vocals on this track were reminiscent of the old man, Angel. The sound of these Cuiabanos is totally old school, mixing Thrash Metal and direct, aggressive and heavy Death Metal.

The fourth track “Armagedom” starts with a violent riff that is totally fast in a very Thrash Metal line with heavy guitars and simple bases that stick in the mind. The lyrics in Portuguese are about human hypocrisy and the cancer of religious institutions.

“In the violence of failures/religions still sustain ignorance.” Perfect!

Closing with “Inimigo Mítico do ser Supremo”  (“Mythical enemy of the Supreme being”) is really cool! With a powerful riff and a simple base that supports the song. Fast parts and rhythmic parts make insane headbangers and black metal lovers happy. No frills, just metal!

“Trágica Existência” is very good! And I’m left here imagining this work recorded with a better production would be perfect! But from what I’ve heard and known, they prefer to work this way and leave the  TOTAL DESASTRE inhabiting the underworld and doing its work in the dark. “In its tragical existence a decadent romanticism / The death of being / The tomb marks the ritual / The theatrical end of men / It ends when the curtains close”.
